Making Friends with God – James 4

1. God desires a R_____  Self-E_____ :  what T_____  you and why?

REFLECT: Thinking back to the last 3 weeks – what things have made you quarrel or fight?  Were any of those made worse by your own selfish desires?

2. We C be friends with both the W_____  and with G_____ .

REFLECT: Are there ways that you are “friends” with the world?  Are there “passions” you pursue that are based in the world, rather than God’s Kingdom? 

3.  R_____ , H_____ , and G_____  are the keys to friendship with God.

REFLECT: What does it mean to you to repent and be humble before God?  Have you experienced the grace of God thru a relationships with Jesus Christ?

4.  Boastful arrogance D_____  friendships.

The best M_____  for boastful arrogance is faithfully doing what we K_____  is B_____  right.  To be taken D_____ .

REFLECT: Can you remember a time where you were guilty of boasting?  Does anything in your life “boast” to God?  How can you shift your focus to building God’s Kingdom?
