Board Meeting & Holy Week Review
It has been a busy week for us at the church. We are wrapping up Supper Club this week, preparing for baptisms, setting up for Palm Sunday and Easter, and keeping an eye on when we return to inside services at the building. Are you feeling swamped?
Palm Sunday through Easter (Resurrection) Sunday is a busy week for the church and I’ll hope you are able to participate in some of the activities.
–At home worship kits are available for pick up at the church. See here for what they include.
–Sunday morning there is a baptism service after the Palm Sunday service.
— Sunday through Friday night, there will be Yup’ik readings for Holy Week at the Moravian Church Parking Lot at 7 PM on 91.1 FM; at the same times, there will be English readings on KYKD on 100.1 FM.
–On Friday night, from 6-6:45 PM there will be a Good Friday Service.
–On Easter Sunday, there is a 7:30 AM Sunrise Service at Ridgecrest Cemetery (by Fili’s Pizza) and an 11 service at the Moravian Church Parking Lot (there is no 8:30 service or Sunday School).
We try to provide additional opportunities at this time of the year to reflect on the meaning of Christ’s life and death — to help you set your mind on the Lord.
Additionally, this past week, there was a board meeting at the church. The board met on Monday. Pastor Adam shared in his report that Bethel Winter House is scheduled to move to their new building on April 9th. The Parenting Small Group is starting a new series (Loving Your Child on Purpose) on April 11th and all are welcome to join it. He also asked for prayer about multiplying small groups, as one is quite large, and youth ministries and what that will look like. Of course, we should also cover our reutrn to the building on April 25th in prayer, as well.
A financial report was also shared (you can see the report on the website). Giving was up for the month of February, which is encouraging. The board also discussed moving one of the security cameras, seeking summer interns, and nominees for open board positions (we anticipate one to two opening up this year). Lastly, the board meetings for the rest of the year are tentatively set.

Blessings and He is Risen!!
